How many cameras can I connect to this DVR?
With an 8 Channel DVR you can connect up to CCTV 8 cameras to your DVR security system.
Do I need Wi-Fi or an internet connection to use this surveillance system?
No! You can view your security footage by connecting your DVR directly to an HDMI compatible TV or monitor. This 4K wired security system has the option to connect to your router so you can use the Defender 24-7 mobile app on your smartphone to view your surveillance cameras, however it is not required.
How many continuous hours can I record with this 2TB DVR?
Many factors such as quantity of cameras, frames per second (FPS), and recording resolution, can drastically affect the amount of time you can record onto your DVR. Recording from 4 cameras to the 2TB DVR in 4K resolution at 8FPS, you will have 6 days of continuous recording. This can be increased to 11 days when reducing your recording resolution to HD 1080P and increasing your FPS to 15. But don’t worry, you will be notified when your DVR is almost full, and you can set your DVR to automatically override old footage when full.
